The Oakland Raiders held the first of four 2011 Fundraising Program Informational Nights at their facility in Alameda, Calif. Over 40 non-profit organizations from around the Bay Area attended the meeting to learn about raising money for their organizations.

It was a beautiful day in East Oakland at Verdese Carter Park, with over 50 participants. Keep Oakland Beautiful was able to clean up the park, work on the community garden, and make the median in front of the park look beautiful. Youth of all ages helped out at the park–the youngest participants were 4 years old.

We had an exciting and diverse Friday, meeting Waste Management employees and East Oakland youth for a morning event, visiting past Big Green Bussers for a Google tour, and hanging out with Dartmouth Alumni for an evening dinner and pong tournament.
