Sports and connection

Community Tennis

A free tennis program at Brookdale Park that uses movement, play, coaching, and multigenerational connection to build confidence and community.

Why tennis

Movement becomes a doorway into confidence, belonging, and teamwork.

The WELO Community Tennis Program encourages fitness and camaraderie for participants of all ages. Free lessons lower the barrier to trying a new sport, while experienced players help beginners build comfort and skill.

Because tennis can bring youth, adults, and families into the same space, the program strengthens more than athletic ability. It creates a healthy, multigenerational point of connection in the neighborhood.
