Civic leadership

We-Cycle4Us

A civic engagement initiative where youth, families, local businesses, and community partners beautify public spaces and support neighbors in need.

Leadership through service

Young people build civic identity by caring for shared spaces.

We-Cycle4Us fosters community pride and environmental stewardship through hands-on service. Youth, families, local businesses, and partners come together to clean parks, care for blighted areas, and support community members who need basic supplies and meals.

The program teaches young people that leadership is not abstract. It can look like showing up with gloves, a plan, a team, and a willingness to leave the block better than they found it.

Service activities

  • Beautification events with youth, families, and local businesses.
  • Cleaning parks and blighted neighborhood areas.
  • Distributing hygiene kits and lunches to unhoused neighbors.
  • Building community pride through visible collective action.
Place

Parks and public areas become sites where youth can see the results of collective effort.

People

Support neighbors

Hygiene kits and meals connect civic leadership to compassion and practical care.

Partnership

Bring community together

Families, businesses, and partners can work alongside youth instead of cheering from a distance.
